How It Works
The Company Tearsheet follows a multi-step process to ensure accurate company identification and data retrieval:- Call: A call is made to
find_securitieswith company name, ticker, or identifier - Extract: The
idfield is extracted (use asrp_entity_id) andtypefield (use ascompany_type) - Call: A call is then made to the
bigdata_company_tearsheetwith both values - Optionally: A call is made to
bigdata_searchfor recent news and additional context
Parameters
Important Notes
- The
company_typeparameter determines the data structure returned - mixing public and private types will result in incorrect data - The
intervalparameter defaults to “quarter” for the most recent quarterly data - When requesting “latest” or “current” financials, quarterly data is provided by default
